How to stick silicone to stainless steel

There are many ways to stick silicone to stainless steel. Here are four methods:
Method 1: Use quick-drying glue
Wash the surface of silicone and stainless steel to ensure that there is no oil and dirt, and then wipe it dry with a dry cloth.
Use silicone surface treatment agent to treat the surface of silicone and wait for a few minutes to dry it.
Squeeze out an appropriate amount of quick-drying glue and apply it to the bonding surface of silicone and stainless steel.
Press the two tightly together and keep it for a few seconds to tens of seconds until the glue is cured.
Method 2: Use slow-drying glue
It is also necessary to clean the surface of silicone and stainless steel to ensure that there are no impurities.
Apply slow-drying glue directly to one side of silicone or stainless steel.
Press the two together tightly and use external force to fix them if necessary to ensure that there is no gap.
Leave it for 24 hours to allow the glue to completely cure.
Method 3: Use hot-vulcanized glue
Wash and dry the surface of silicone and stainless steel.
Apply hot-vulcanized silicone glue on the surface of stainless steel.
After drying at room temperature or baking, put the silicone and stainless steel into a mold for molding.
Method 4: Use epoxy glue
Wash the surface of silicone and stainless steel.
Mix the epoxy glue in proportion, usually A and B glues are mixed and stirred evenly.
Apply the prepared epoxy glue to the bonding surface of silicone and stainless steel.
Press the two tightly together and let it stand for a while according to the instructions of the epoxy glue.
Regardless of which method is used, you need to pay attention to the following points:
Before bonding, make sure that the surface of the stainless steel is dry, oil-free and dust-free, otherwise it will affect the bonding effect.
When applying glue, you need to try to apply it evenly and thinly. Too thick a coating will affect the bonding strength.
When pressing tightly and holding for a long time, you need to ensure that the silicone can fill the gap between the two objects to improve the bonding strength.
Do not use heavy loads before the glue is completely dry.
The bonding time and drying time may vary due to environmental factors such as temperature and humidity, and need to be adjusted according to actual conditions.
Please note that the choice of glue depends on the specific application scenario and needs, such as the required curing speed, the properties after curing (such as hardness, elasticity), and whether it needs to be used in a specific environment (such as high temperature resistance, water resistance, etc.). Therefore, when choosing glue, it is recommended to refer to the product manual or consult a professional.
