what is reason of HTV silicone do not bond stainless steel
14 Feb 2017
uncured silicone often using as stainless steel substrate. There are solid state and liquid silicone rubber no bonding bond stainless steel, portion bonding or degumming etc. The silicone bond stainless steel undesirable factors: 1, Choose wrong primer. 2, The primer usage method is incorrect in use process 3, Silicone in the process of vulcanization is uncured.
Choose the right primer for uncured silicone bond stainless steel
The primer CL - 24S - 2 PA for HTV solid silicone bonding stainless steel at 170℃.
The primer CL-26AB for HTV liquid silicone bond stainless steel at 130℃.
The usage method of CL-24S-2PA
1, Treat the substrates with blast sanding, polishing or wash with industrial alcohol.
2, Brushing, painting, dipping or spraying the CL-24S-2PA on the substrates.
3, Leave dry in room temp for 30 minutes or baking at 110-130℃ for 5-15 minutes.
4, The primer treated substrates are processed within that day. 5, The first cure is suitable to DBPH system silicone rubber and the second cure the temperature maximum at 200℃.
The usage method of CL-26AB
1, Treat the substrates with blast sanding, polishing or wash with industrial alcohol.
2, Mix completely the A and B with ratio 1:1 and apply the primer by dipping, brushing, spraying or silk screen printing method.
3, Leave dry in room temp for 30 minutes or baking at 110-130℃ for 15-20mintes.
4, The primer treated substrates are processed within that day.
5, Foward the unvulcanized silicone rubber with primer-coated substrates in mouding process or hot air vulcanization.
The silicone in the process of curing, the silicone can not contact sulfur, tin, lead, arsenic, phosphorus, nitrogen compound ,otherwise the silicone will be not cured.
