Silicone adhesive PC glue, three different bonding solutions

1. Slow-drying glue at normal temperature and quick-drying glue at normal temperature
1. Slow-drying glue at room temperature is waterproof and resistant to high and low temperatures. After curing, it is formed into a soft, non-hard, non-white silicone body, which can reach food grade and medical grade. However, the curing time is long and complete curing takes 24 hours.
2. Normal temperature quick-drying glue has a fast curing speed, and the general curing time is 3 seconds to 3 minutes; the disadvantage is that the bonding area will become hard, and it is not resistant to high temperatures and is not waterproof.
2. High temperature bonding silicone glue
High-temperature bonding of silicone glue requires a high heating temperature. After bonding the silicone parts to the PC substrate, it needs to be heated to 170°C in an oven for 10-15 seconds before curing. The advantage is that it cures quickly, does not become hard or white after bonding, and the glue solidifies into soft silicone, which is waterproof and resistant to high temperatures of 300°C, and can reach food grade and medical grade.
3. Liquid silicone/solid silicone vulcanization
Coat the PC substrate with primer, dry it or air-dry it naturally, then place it in the mold and vulcanize it with liquid silicone/solid silicone to form. This bonding solution has the advantages of strong adhesion, fast bonding speed, seamless fit between silicone and PC substrate, environmental protection and safety. It has good flexibility after bonding, is resistant to water boiling, can pass the salt spray test, and is suitable for mechanized operations. Assembly line production; however, this solution requires higher equipment and requires more processes.
